Flying from Aosta Italy across the Alps to Sion Switzerland

The flight starts at the Aosta Valley Airport (aka Aeroporto Valle d' Aosta or Aeroport Corrado Gex) in Italy which is at an elevation of 583 m (1,913 ft). In a continuous climb, we follow the Aosta Valley, cross the Italian Swiss border and the Great St Bernard Mountain Pass which lies at an elevation of 2,469 m (8,100 ft). From there on it's all down hill to Martigny in Switzerland before we land at the Sion Airport which is at an elevation of 491 m (1,611 ft).
