Driving from the Insel Mainau to Füssen | German Road Trip with Ferry Ride

This road trip drive starts on July 6th, 2019 at the parking lot of the Insel Mainau near Konstanz, Germany, and ends in the City of Füssen near the world-famous Neuschwanstein Castle in Bavaria.

After a day's visit on the beautiful Insel Mainau, we start the drive eastwards and first cross the Bodensee (English: Lake Constance) with the vehicle ferry called ‘Kreuzlingen' https://youtu.be/CJfPoCOtFWM.

After arriving in Meersburg, our drive continues along the northern shore of the Bodensee in the state of Baden-Württemberg and later through the Bavarian countryside before we arrive in Füssen after a drive time of about 2 hours 30 minutes. The City of Füssen is just one kilometer from the Austrian border and a few minutes away from the world-famous and Disney inspired Neuschwanstein Castle, which is nestled in the German Alps.
