Drive Rainbow Canyon to Lancaster with Jet Fighter encounter – Scenic Drive USA!
Driving from the Rainbow Canyon aka Star Wars Canyon or Jedi Transition to Lancaster in California on October 4th, 2018 | Please Subscribe ➤ https://bit.ly/31hqyBO
The drive starts at the Father Crowley vista point which overlooks the Rainbow Canyon, also known as Star Wars Canyon or Jedi Transition. The Rainbow Canyon is a well know low level transit route for military training flights and many times you will see military jets flying beneath you. In July 2019, a Navy F-18 Fighter Jet crashed just a few hundred feet from the Father Crowley vista point, sadly, the pilot did not survive the crash.
From the Star Wars Canyon we follow State Route 190 to Olancha. About 18 minutes into the drive, we encounter a F/A-18 Super Hornet military jet fighter flying very low and head on over the road. At Olancha, we turn south onto U.S. Route 395 and keep on driving on the 395 till it splits into California State Route 14 near Inyokern. From there on we follow Route 14 through the Red Rock Canyon State Park, Mojave and finally arrive on our days destination in Lancaster California.
